About us

Who we are

This isn’t just a fundraiser, it’s a strategic collaboration between the legal community and Cancer Research UK.

What we do

Law Beats Cancer is designed differently

This isn’t just a fundraiser, it’s a strategic collaboration between the legal community and Cancer Research UK.

Every year, Cancer Research UK has to turn down high-quality discovery research that could drive progress forward and be the key to the next breakthrough, simply because they don’t have enough funds. With more funding, Cancer Research UK can go further and faster to make the discoveries and breakthroughs that will help more people live longer, better lives.

Traditional charity events can rely on limited ‘charity spend’, individual donations or ESG budgets and often put a high demand on time and resources. We want to maximise returns by building events and encouraging initiatives that make business sense on many levels and are rewarding for all involved –  where lawyers, clients and firms are motivated to take part because they deliver real professional, personal and commercial value.

Clients will embrace this through networking, thought leadership, convening power and impact with purpose.

Sponsorship will play a central role in covering costs, raising additional income and ensuring tax efficiency.

Firms can engage through networking, CSR engagement, business development, staff team building and participation with purpose.

If our events create value, participation follows.
