Law Beats Cancer, a first of its kind initiative between the legal community and Cancer Research UK, was introduced to some of the leading voices in the UK’s legal sector at the legal LinkedIn influencers event on 16 April.
Law Beats Cancer aims to bring the whole legal community together, through networking, fundraising, challenges and events, to support groundbreaking research, accelerate progress, and save lives.
In advance of its official launch, Law Beats Cancer board members Jenny Leahy, Partner, Freshfields and Paul Baker, Partner, Quinn Emanuel, introduced the concept to over 100 attendees at an event to mark the launch of the latest legal LinkedIn influencers report, held at A&O Shearman’s offices.
This quarterly report celebrates the performance of the top individuals according to specific LinkedIn metrics. Each quarter, it analyses thousands of legal professionals on LinkedIn to identify the most influential voices.
These voices will play a key part in helping to raise the profile of Law Beats Cancer as it looks to encourage law firms, barristers chambers and in-house lawyers to join the new initiative.
By joining Law Beats Cancer, individuals and firms can help raise funds and awareness that support life-saving cancer research, while realising tangible benefits for the firm, your people, and your network.
