The legal community is uniquely powerful and when we come together, the difference we can make is significant. Funds raised by Law Beats Cancer go to Cancer Research UK the world’s leading cancer charity where scientists, doctors, and nurses work every day on finding new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. By supporting Law Beats Cancer, you are helping fund that work.
Cancer Research UK has been instrumental in some of the most significant breakthroughs in cancer treatment over the past century. From developing drugs that are now used in hospitals worldwide, to pioneering the understanding of how cancer grows and spreads, your support helps keep that progress moving.
But there is a significant funding gap. This is where Law Beats Cancer can make an impact.

In the last 3 years 60 research projects were declined due to lack of funds.
These 60 projects totalled an extra £10.3m in funding.
The funding ask for each project ranges from £1m to £2.6m.
£250,000 is a modest target in comparison to the funding needed for 1 project.
Around 1 in 2 people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. That means cancer has touched almost every family, every firm, and every chambers in the country. The legal profession has not been spared, and that is exactly why we set up Law Beats Cancer.
